Cybill Shepherd, 74, Stuns Fans with Rare Public Appearance 35 Years After Moonlighting

Cybill Shepherd, the 74-year-old actress best known for her role in the 1980s detective comedy-drama Moonlighting, has made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles, sparking surprise among fans. The star, who rose to fame in the 1971 film The Last Picture Show, was photographed on a shopping trip wearing an all-blue outfit, including a long-sleeve shirt, jeans, sneakers, and aviator sunglasses.

Shepherd's role as Madolyn 'Maddie' Hayes opposite Bruce Willis in Moonlighting (1985-1989) marked a career resurgence after a decade of regional theatre work in her hometown of Memphis. The series earned her two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical TV Series and was nominated for 16 Emmy Awards.

Following Moonlighting, Shepherd starred in the sitcom Cybill (1995-1998) and later appeared in shows such as The L Word and The Client List. Despite a reported feud with Willis during the show's run, she expressed enduring affection for him in 2022 after his aphasia diagnosis.
