Macaulay Culkin and Ryan Reynolds led the stars at the John Candy: I Like Me screening in Los Angeles on Friday, sharing a warm embrace on the red carpet. The Home Alone star, 45, wore a pink double-breasted suit, while Reynolds, 48, opted for a grey knitted blazer over a white jumper and navy trousers. Reynolds co-produced the documentary with Colin Hanks.
John Candy's widow Rosemary and their children Jennifer and Christopher also attended the event. The documentary explores the life, career and loss of the comedy icon, who died of a heart attack in 1994 at age 43. It debuts globally on Prime Video on October 10.
Culkin recently revealed that Candy became a paternal figure to him on the set of Uncle Buck, recognising the difficulties with Culkin's father, whom he later accused of abuse. Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, Culkin said Candy 'was looking out for him' and that his care was a 'testament to the kind of man he was'.
