Craig Revel Horwood has disclosed how one of his pet hates led to an early clash with fellow Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, confessing he was left "fuming" after being made to wait.
The TV personalities opened up about their friendship and irritations on their new podcast, Judgemental, where Anton pressed Craig to name the behaviour that winds him up most.
Anton remarked: "I'm gonna tell you about the thing that drives you mad, gives you the ump. Drives you crazy. I know, I know exactly what it is - being late."
Craig confirmed the matter had triggered one of their first disputes, stressing that timekeeping is something he regards with utmost importance.
"Well, now this is where our biggest argument will be. And this is where our first argument actually was, because friendship for me went out the window. If I am sat in a car waiting for you, I will leave. I will wait five minutes and I will leave, darling," he stated.
Recounting the episode, Craig described how his annoyance mounted while waiting for Anton, who had been pausing to greet admirers, reports the Express.
"When I was in that car, I was fuming because you're there signing autographs, going 'Oh yes, darling,' doing all of that. And I thought, if you want to sign autographs, come down half an hour early. And I gave you a right b******ing. You've never done it since."
Anton acknowledged that the telling-off had worked. "She went mad, she went mad!" he joked.
"So, from that point on, I always get in the car before him now."
The playful banter followed Anton's candid discussion about domestic life and the demands of the school break during the first instalment of their new podcast.
Craig had questioned his fellow presenter about what he had been "quietly judging" lately, which led Anton to share his experiences of a hectic week caring for his children.
"This has been quite a long week. I have been doing half-termy things with the children. Do you know, I actually quite like it when they are at school. It's a bit calmer. It's a bit easier for me when they are at school," he admitted.
Anton, 53, is father to nine-year-old twins George and Henrietta with wife Hannah.
The professional dancer and television personality has joined forces with Strictly colleague Craig, 61, for Judgemental, a weekly podcast where the duo deliver their take on topics ranging from celebrity news to listeners' everyday predicaments.
Speaking about the venture, Craig remarked: "Darling, everyone knows I love a verdict. This podcast gives us the chance to have an opinion on absolutely everything - from the fabulous to the frightful - and I couldn't be more thrilled."
Anton commented: "Craig and I have always enjoyed a good gossip, and now we finally have somewhere to put all our very important opinions. It's joyful, ridiculous and, naturally, extremely good listen! Join us."
