Craig Gordon Reunites with Wife After Scotland Win

Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon enjoyed an emotional family reunion after the national team's historic World Cup victory over Haiti in Boston. The 43-year-old, Scotland's oldest player in the tournament squad, was reunited with his wife Summer Harl and their two-month-old son Archer following the 1-0 win.

Emotional Post-Match Moments

Summer, who traveled to the United States with their three children—Ace, Axel, and newborn Archer—to support her husband, shared an emotional image on Instagram of Craig holding baby Archer for the first time after the game. Alongside the snap, she wrote: "And he's sleeping. Hasn't seen him for 2 weeks, and that's 1/4 of his little life."

The moment highlighted the sacrifices of international football, with Gordon having spent weeks apart from his family while preparing in camp. Summer attended the match with Archer and her father, while the older boys stayed at the hotel with their grandmother due to the late 9 pm kick-off. She explained: "We ended up getting back around 2:30am so it was definitely the right decision. A 12 hour match day."

Family Celebration in Boston

The next morning, Gordon made the most of the victory by spending time with all three sons as they explored Boston. Dressed in Scotland kits, Ace and Axel reunited with their father for a family outing featuring pizza and donuts to celebrate both the win and their reunion.

Gordon, who married Summer in July 2025 after an eight-year relationship, has often spoken about the importance of family. The couple first met while working at Celtic TV, where Gordon was the club's goalkeeper and Summer was a presenter. Gordon is also father to two daughters, Freya and Emma, from a previous marriage.

Scotland's victory, secured by John McGinn's goal, marked their first World Cup win in 36 years, sparking celebrations both on and off the pitch.
