Former Coronation Street actress Katy Cavanagh, best known for playing Julie Carp, has reinvented herself as a 'momager' to her two sons, Noah Jupe and Jacobi Jupe, who are both making waves in Hollywood. The 50-year-old actress has put her own career on hold to manage her sons, who have starred in major films such as A Quiet Place, Ford v Ferrari, and Hamnet.
Cavanagh accompanied her sons to the 2026 BAFTA Tea Party in Beverly Hills, where Hamnet—starring both brothers—was nominated for a Golden Globe. An insider revealed that Cavanagh has dedicated herself to helping her sons succeed in the industry, despite not being well-known in Hollywood herself.
Noah Jupe, 21, credited his parents for his success, saying, 'Without them, I don’t think I would have chosen the same level of jobs, and I might not have been mentally the way I am right now.' Jacobi, 18, echoed the sentiment, adding, 'I don’t know how I would be here if it weren’t for them.'
The family have also launched their own production company, with Cavanagh writing scripts—her first being a psychological thriller. Her husband, film producer Chris Jupe, brings logistical expertise, while Cavanagh focuses on the creative side. Noah described the family as 'a very film family,' noting that their combined industry knowledge has been invaluable.
