Gary Windass (Mikey North) is hiding a secret from his wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), and it may be an affair with his ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) rather than a murder. The bad boy builder is already the prime suspect in the killing of abusive Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), especially after he smashed up Theo's van with a sledgehammer and sent a threatening text: 'I'M COMING FOR YOU'.
Gary's past includes the accidental death of Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) and killing loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) in self-defence.
