Coronation Street has seemingly given away the identity of the person who keeps calling and messaging Christina Boyd. The character was seen asking for help weeks ago to someone on the phone while in the café, and since then she has been distracted by call attempts and messages.
Christina's Secret Calls Continue
This continued on Monday, while she has not told her partner George Shuttleworth what is going on. Christina initially asked someone to help her sort a situation, saying she was desperate. She quickly ended the call so no one knew, as Nina Lucas brought over her coffee. Then on Monday she killed someone's call, before she looked panicked over her phone notifications.
It seemed like there was a flurry of messages coming in and she was clearly worried. After replying, Christina kept checking her phone before stepping aside to take a call. She seemed reluctant to do so, while she also kept staring at her pals to make sure no one could hear her.
Who Is Christina Contacting?
According to TV Times, Corrie has revealed the person she is speaking to. They claim that it is her ex-husband Lenny, so what are they discussing and why does not Christina want anyone to know?
Glenda Shuttleworth is set to find out about the calls, and she will fear her brother George will be let down. The publication revealed: "When Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) discovers that Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is in contact with her ex-husband Lenny, she naturally fears that her beloved brother George (Tony Maudsley) – Christina's partner – is being played for a fool."
"But is Christina really a love cheat, or is she hiding something else entirely?" All will be revealed this summer it seems!
Other Secrets Exposed
It comes as spoilers revealed two other characters could find their secrets exposed next week. Gary and Sarah's secretive behaviour has had fans guessing for weeks. Their private chats and sudden closeness has not gone unnoticed by Weatherfield residents either.
All will be revealed, however, as a dramatic dinner party, hosted by Sarah's partner Kit Green, sees Maria publicly accusing Gary and Sarah of having an affair. Gary is also forced to defend himself to detective Kit who accuses him of being linked to Theo Silverton's murder, after a recent flashback placed him at the scene of the crime.
Despite Kit's murder theory, Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, says her character is adamant she has rumbled Gary's big secret. Samia, 43, tells us: "She has known for a few weeks that something is definitely not right between her and Gary. She has been clocking these little sneaky conversations he has been having with Sarah, and she has put two and two together. She is just convinced that they must be sleeping together."
Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
