Corrie Fans Predict Mason Radcliffe Return After Death Revisited

Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled a return twist as they were left emotional over the long-running show's latest scenes revisiting a tragic death.

Mason Radcliffe's Death Revisited

Those who have been following the ITV soap will recall that it was back in January 2025 that Mason Radcliffe lost his life after he was stabbed to death by his brothers in a tragic attack. Mason was trying to turn things around after he was eventually served justice for his cruel bullying campaign against Liam Connor last year. But he struggled to escape his brothers, Matty and Logan, who also caused havoc for other Weatherfield residents.

Mason also seemingly sealed his downfall when he agreed to help Betsy's mum, DS Lisa Swain, try to get to the bottom of her ex-wife's death. She showed photographs taken at the crime scene of her late partner Becky’s death and revealed that his brothers were behind the murder. He set about helping her, and after getting his brothers questioned, he prepared to leave, having accepted a job offer from Stu Carpenter in Germany. However, as he asked Dylan Wilson for help in searching his brother's flat for a box of photographs for him to take with him, they were caught by the troubled pair and chased, before Mason was fatally stabbed.

Emotional Scenes in Roy's Rolls

During Tuesday's (June 16) edition of Corrie, Mason's death was revisited as Betsy emotionally opened up about the loss. After she, Dylan and Brody Michaelis were confronted and chased by a gang of lads, who mentioned Mason by name, the day before, an emotional Betsy was seen speaking to Dylan in Roy's Rolls. It was clear that the reminder of Mason's tragic death hit her hard, as she said: "Can I be honest, I think about Mason all the time. Sometimes I just can't stop," Betsy told Dylan, before he began to blame himself for having the knife to begin with.

While Betsy insisted it was not Dylan's fault, he also assured Betsy that Mason "knew he was loved" before he died. Eventually, Betsy admitted: "I think it's down to me... Try and move things forward. Focus on the future, people will love and care about me." She was then later heard telling Lauren Bolton about an offer to attend the London College of Fashion, seemingly planning her exit from Weatherfield.

Fan Theories of a Return

But Corrie fans think the fresh Mason mentions mean something more, after some previously thought that the teen hadn't really died, and was instead in witness protection. @betsysthassie asked: "Okay so why the sudden Mason mention?? #swarla #corrie." @maerlacqz0 said: "There’s been too much talk about Mason. He’s about to come back from the dead. #corrie." @LadyReignFC added: "I'm also always thinking about Mason. Mason's coming back from the dead like Becky! Let's goooo #swarla."
