Coronation Street Dinner Party Exposes Gary and Sarah's Secret
Corrie Dinner Party Reveals Gary and Sarah's Hidden Secret

Coronation Street has unveiled a first look at the dramatic dinner party that will unravel next week, exposing the secrets Gary Windass and Sarah Platt have been hiding. By the end of the evening, viewers of the ITV soap will learn who killed Theo Silverton, as a series of flashbacks revisit the fateful April night when his body was discovered.

Theo's lifeless body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain, months after it was teased that he could be one of five villains murdered in the dramatic storyline, on the night of Lisa and Carla Connor-Swain's wedding. A 'whodunnit' has since been underway, with Corrie previously confirming Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton as the six potential suspects. But next week, all will be revealed.

Dinner Party Flashbacks

According to new spoilers, viewers will get a glimpse inside Sarah and Kit Green's flat, where the remnants of a dinner party include broken glass, a chair upended, and blood splattered across the tablecloth. The episode will then transport viewers to earlier in the day, where Kit reminds Sarah about their date night and suggests they go food shopping at lunchtime. However, when Kit receives a text from Sarah cancelling their lunchtime trip, his son, Brody Michaelis, teases him that Sarah has had a better offer.

Maria Windass overhears, and her mind whirrs, having already shared her concerns that former couple Gary and Sarah are having an affair. As Sarah leaves the builders' yard, Kit watches her with suspicion. Once in the Rovers, Sarah invites Todd and Summer to join her and Kit for dinner, causing his heart to sink. However, when he spots her whispering to Gary, Kit suggests Gary and Maria might like to join them. Gary and Sarah freeze while Maria accepts his invitation. What does Kit have in store?

Tensions Rise at the Dinner Table

The second part of the hour-long episode focuses on the dinner party itself. As Todd, Summer, Gary, and Maria arrive, tensions are high as old animosities bubble under. Maria aims some bitchy comments at Sarah, while Kit does his best to get Gary on his own, making pointed remarks about people's propensity to lie. Once the dinner party is in full swing, Kit serves the main course, but as Maria raises a toast to the hosts, she announces that Gary and Sarah have been having an affair for weeks. As everyone reels in shock, secrets and lies are exposed in a shocking series of flashbacks. But how does the evening end with blood splattered across the table?

Aftermath and Suspicion

The aftermath has already been teased: the following day, Maria gives Gary the cold shoulder after the explosive dinner party. Meanwhile, when Sarah finds a ring box in Kit's bag, her eyes widen. But she is brought up short when Kit suddenly appears. How will he react in light of last night's events? Elsewhere, Todd calls to see Sarah and tells her he suspects there is more to the situation with her and Gary than meets the eye. Later, on the street, Gary goads Kit, pointing out that he has no actual evidence against him. Gary assures Todd that there is no affair, but Sarah both likes and trusts him, and Kit is jealous, which is why he is trying to pin the murder on him.

Todd once again tackles Sarah, wondering if Gary knows more than he is letting on about Theo's murder. Can Sarah help Todd find some answers? Meanwhile, as he turns to George for support, Todd breaks down in tears and confesses that he has never felt so lonely. George and Christina insist he should move back in. Over in the Rovers, Sarah drowns her sorrows, with her brothers Nick Tilsley and David Platt concerned to see her so drunk. Jodie Ramsey puts Sarah's troubles down to her recent attack, but when she lets slip that David, the dog, was barking at the time, Sarah is left suspicious.
