In Sunday’s episode, Kit questioned Gary about Todd Grimshaw’s (Gareth Pierce) missing phone, which was discovered in a pawn shop covered in Brody Michaelis’ (Ryan Mulvey) fingerprints. Brody admitted to finding the phone in a skip outside the builder’s yard, prompting Kit to refocus his attention on Gary. Although Gary managed to explain away the situation, Kit remained unconvinced.
Sarah overheard Kit sharing his suspicions with DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) over the phone. She quickly arranged a secret meeting with Gary. During their clandestine conversation, it became evident that the pair are concealing something, though whether it relates to Theo’s murder remains unclear.
Maria's Unexpected Return
Their discussion was interrupted when Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) arrived home unexpectedly. Sarah was forced to hide while Gary found a way to usher Maria out of the flat. Todd angrily told Kit that Summer had deliberately turned off her insulin pump to escape prison. As Todd ranted, Gary rushed outside for air, where Sarah soon joined him.
