Coleen Rooney has been photographed without her wedding ring, just a day after her husband Wayne was seen drinking with two mystery women at a pre-Brit Awards party in Manchester. The 39-year-old former I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star was spotted running errands in Wilmslow, Cheshire, wearing a cream Stella McCartney jacket, dark leggings and white Nike trainers, but notably no ring.
The sighting comes after The Sun reported that Wayne, 40, had spent nearly two hours with the women at a venue, leaving separately at 3.25am. An onlooker said he appeared to be 'having a laugh and joking around'. The former England and Manchester United star had earlier attended a party with other I'm a Celeb stars, including EastEnders' Shona McGarty and rapper Aitch.
Coleen and Wayne, childhood sweethearts who married in 2008 in a £5 million ceremony in Italy, share four sons: Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and eight-year-old Cass. The wedding ring is estimated to have cost £250,000. The couple have faced public scrutiny before, including an incident in 2004 when Coleen reportedly threw her engagement ring into a squirrel reserve during a row.
Speaking to The Times ahead of her 40th birthday next month, Coleen said of their relationship: 'You have your ups and downs... But I think being together from a young age, we know each other inside and out. We’re a team.' Wayne has previously credited Coleen with saving his life, saying in an interview with Rio Ferdinand: 'I honestly believe if she wasn't there I'd be dead.'
The Mirror has contacted a representative for Coleen for comment. The reports come as Coleen prepares to launch her first Primark collection next week.
