Dakota Johnson has spoken candidly about her relationship with Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow's children, Apple, 19, and Moses, 17. In an interview with Bustle published on 5 March, the 34-year-old actress expressed her deep affection for the teenagers, saying, 'I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.'
Johnson, who has been dating Coldplay frontman Martin since 2017, has also maintained a strong friendship with Paltrow. The Goop founder shared a photo on Instagram in December showing her and Johnson holding hands outdoors, and in October, Paltrow described Johnson as 'an adorable, wonderful person' during a Q&A on her Instagram Stories.
While Johnson and Martin have kept their relationship largely private, they have occasionally shared sweet moments publicly. At a 2021 Coldplay concert in London, Martin pointed to Johnson in the balcony and dedicated the song 'My Universe' to her. Johnson also revealed in November how Martin helped her through a low day by noticing she was wearing a 'Cats' musical T-shirt, which lifted her spirits.
Johnson, who is currently a stepmother to Martin's children, said she is open to having children of her own. 'I really want to experience everything that life has to offer,' she told Bustle, describing motherhood as 'a magical f***ing thing.'
