Chelsee Healey Quits Hollyoaks After Eight Years

Chelsee Healey is reportedly set to depart from Hollyoaks later this year after eight years playing Goldie McQueen. The actress has decided it is time to move on from the Channel 4 soap, according to an insider.

Goldie first appeared in November 2016, arriving to explore the lives of the 'posher' McQueens. She was later reunited with her twin sons Prince and Hunter. Healey has not had a full-time contract recently and has been pursuing other projects, including a role in Waterloo Road.

Her departure follows reports that James Sutton, who plays John Paul McQueen, is also leaving the soap after almost 20 years. Sutton said he felt he had exhausted the character's storylines, including a male rape plot and domestic abuse.
