The Chase star Mark Labbett, known as 'The Beast', has ended his relationship with Sky Sports presenter Hayley Palmer after one year together. The 42-year-old confirmed the split on Instagram Stories, stating they had gone their separate ways.
Palmer wrote: 'It is with regret I announce that myself and Mark have gone our separate ways. We had the best year together, and I truly wish him all the very best for the future.' She added a broken heart emoji and referenced listening to Taylor Swift, hinting at her heartbreak.
The announcement came just a week after the couple celebrated their first anniversary with a trip to the same beach where they had their first date. Labbett, 58, had posted a photo of them on the bench they first sat on, captioning it: 'One Year Anniversary. Same beach, same bench.'
The pair met at the National Television Awards in 2022, where a mutual agent mentioned he had secured Labbett a Toby Carvery gold card, sparking conversation. They later went on a date and began a relationship, despite a 16-year age gap. Palmer had previously told The Mirror she felt 'safe' with Labbett and knew he was 'The One'.
