Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, star of ITV's The Chase, dozed off during a first date on Wednesday's episode of Celebs Go Dating. The 60-year-old quizzer was out for a meal with fellow enthusiast Natalie when he repeatedly yawned and apologised for being 'really zonked'.
As his date spoke, Labbett closed his eyes for several seconds, prompting narrator Rob Beckett to accuse him of 'dropping off'. Shaking himself awake, Labbett then picked up a tea light, mistaking it for his drink, and raised it to his lips.
The awkward moment was captured on camera, leaving viewers amused and cringing in equal measure. Labbett, known for his formidable quizzing skills, seemed far less formidable in the romantic setting.
