Chanelle Hayes has showcased her incredible nine stone weight loss while on holiday in Majorca. The former Big Brother star, 34, looked confident as she strolled the beach in a striking orange and white striped bikini, having dropped from a size 18 to a size 10 after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in August 2020.
The reality TV star, who shot to fame in 2007, described the operation as a 'last resort' after struggling with her weight for years. She said it helped curb her 'addiction' to binge-eating and left her in the best shape of her life.
However, since losing the weight, Chanelle has been diagnosed with M.E (myalgic encephalomyelitis), a chronic fatigue syndrome. She told The Sun that her condition went undiagnosed for years due to her obesity, and she now experiences extreme exhaustion and pain, feeling like her 'bones are going to explode'.
Chanelle has had to give up alcohol and the gym due to her symptoms, and some days she sleeps for 14 hours but still lacks energy to brush her teeth or do her hair. She described M.E as a 'hidden disability' and said people sometimes assume she is 'just lazy'.
Despite her health struggles, Chanelle looked radiant and makeup-free during her beach outing, with her hair tied in a messy bun. She said she feared missing out on time with her children when her condition confines her to bed for days at a time.
