Catherine Tyldesley, best known for her role as Eva Price on Coronation Street, has been married to personal trainer Tom Pitfield since 2016. The couple met at a gym in January 2014 and quickly became engaged after nine months when they announced they were expecting their first child. Their son Alfie James was born in March 2015, and their daughter Iris Ella arrived in 2022.
Tom Pitfield had a brief stint on television as a fitness expert on the ITV show Eat, Shop, Save, hosted by Ranvir Singh. He helped families adopt healthier lifestyles by making small changes. Tyldesley supported him with advice on his on-screen presence, including his Wigan accent.
In April 2023, Tyldesley revealed that her husband had found a lump in his breast. She shared on Instagram that he underwent a scan, ultrasound, and biopsy. Tyldesley noted that her husband was unaware men could get breast cancer. Fortunately, the lump was diagnosed as gynaecomastia, a common condition in men that causes breast tissue swelling. She used the experience to raise awareness about male breast cancer, urging men to check their chests for lumps or other symptoms.
