Actress Casey Al-Shaqsy has expressed her excitement at joining the cast of Emmerdale as the newest member of the Sugden family. The performer, known for her stage work, will portray the mysterious Serena Sugden, a character set to stir up drama in the village.

Al-Shaqsy, who has appeared in West End productions of Hamilton, Wicked, and Six: The Musical, will make her debut later this month. Her character, Serena, is described as having a complex personality with hidden depths, and her arrival is expected to trigger an intense and gripping storyline.
