Caroline Flack's mother Christine Flack shared a touching memory of her son Paul in a Disney Plus documentary just months before his death at age 55. Paul was discovered unresponsive at his Norwich home on June 21 and was pronounced dead at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital. A preliminary post mortem determined his cause of death as cardiac arrest due to hanging, with an inquest scheduled for October 23.
Family Roles Revealed in Documentary
In the documentary, Christine described Paul as "the fun aspect" of the family, explaining: "Paul, being the only boy, was the fun aspect. He'd get all the naughty things, really, with them [his sisters]." She also spoke about her eldest daughter Elizabeth and twins Caroline and Jody, noting that Caroline was "one-off out of the four children" and "the funny one as well."
Christine added: "Carrie and her twin sister, Jo, they'd never grown apart. It was always them two against the world. My eldest daughter, Lizzie, was ten when the twins were born. When they'd get up in the night, they'd get in her bed, which was lovely." She said the family "changed quickly" after Caroline's death in 2020.
Paul's Death and Investigation
Norfolk Police stated: "Officers were called by ambulance after concerns for the safety of a man in his 50s. He was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead at 10.44pm. The death is being treated as unexplained at this time but police do not currently believe there are any suspicious circumstances."
Paul, a graphic designer, is survived by his partner and their children. The Flack family has now lost two members in six years, with Caroline having died by suicide on February 15, 2020, at age 40.
