Cardi B has withdrawn from headlining the Parklife festival in Manchester this weekend, organisers have announced. The Grammy-winning rapper was scheduled to perform on the main stage on Saturday but pulled out due to ongoing recovery from cosmetic surgery.
Parklife organisers confirmed the news on Twitter, stating: 'As some of you will have seen, Cardi B was forced to cancel some performances in May. The Parklife team have just been notified that Cardi now also needs to pull out of Parklife this weekend.' They apologised for the late notice and said changes to the line-up and stage times were being arranged.
The 26-year-old star, known for hits such as 'I Like It' and 'Bodak Yellow', had previously postponed a string of US shows in May to recover from surgery. In an Instagram video at the time, she explained: 'You know, I hate cancelling shows because I love money. But like, health is wealth, so I have to do what I have to do. My breasts gotta heal, and it is what it is.'
She added that her doctor had advised against performing until she was fully healed. Despite the setback, Cardi B performed at Hot 97's Summer Jam in New Jersey last weekend.
