Brooklyn Beckham Takes Swipe at Family in Cryptic World Cup Ad
Brooklyn Beckham Takes Swipe at Family in World Cup Ad

Brooklyn Beckham has aimed a series of digs at his parents David and Victoria in a big money advert for the World Cup.

Amid their ongoing feud, Brooklyn has used the family drama to promote DoorDash, a US food delivery service.

In the advert, he smirks at the camera, saying: “You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home... It's a long story.”

He goes on to throw down some match tickets onto the coffee table, as a message says: “It’s complicated. More soon.”

The advert ends on a cryptic note.

The ad is a nod to Brooklyn’s estrangement from parents David and Victoria, as well as his brothers and sister and wider family for over a year.

There were also some shady Easter eggs in the ad, with a stack of unopened letters from home perhaps referring to his refusal to make contact with his family.

DoorDash replied to the video on Instagram, saying: “We have a guess on why you’re watching from home…”

Other viewers didn’t appreciate the jibes quite so much, however, taking to the comments section to accuse Brooklyn of disrespecting his parents.

One wrote: “You knew what you was doing with this commercial; Am I only the one who finds the irony in him doing this ad?”

Another said: “Feel free to keep it to yourself mate you’ve aired enough dirty laundry in public already.”

A third posted: “Your father was a famous footballer and even played in the World Cup. Show some respect, you ungrateful brat!”

The Beckham family feud has been going on for over a year, with relations deteriorating drastically after Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend David's 50th birthday celebrations last May.

In January, Brooklyn posted an explosive six-page statement on Instagram, announcing he had cut ties with his family.
