A British woman has been hospitalised after being knocked unconscious during a violent street brawl between British and French tourists in Magaluf, Spain. The altercation occurred outside a tattoo parlour on the resort's main strip at around 5.30am local time.
Footage published by local newspaper Ultima Hora shows a bare-chested British man exchanging blows with another man before ending up on the ground. He had to be restrained by onlookers as he attempted to continue the fight. A second brawl, believed to be linked, broke out moments later nearby.
A woman, whose identity and condition remain unknown, was seen being carried to the side of the road to receive first aid. Witnesses could be heard shouting, “She’s out,” and “She’s knocked out stone cold.” Another man repeatedly yelled, “Two people, two people, stand back.”
Local security guards intervened to separate the warring holidaymakers, but police presence was not immediately evident. Civil Guard officers were unavailable to comment on injuries or arrests. The incident comes as local authorities continue efforts to improve Magaluf's reputation, which has been marred by drunken tourism, particularly during the summer months.
