Robert Sullivan, the estranged husband of iconic singer Bonnie Tyler, has finally opened up about their divorce after 42 years of marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in 1978, announced their separation earlier this year, leaving fans shocked.
In an emotional interview, Sullivan shared that the split was a mutual decision, driven by the challenges of maintaining a relationship while Tyler's career kept her constantly on the road. "It wasn't easy, but we both realised we had grown apart," he admitted.
The Toll of Fame on Their Marriage
Sullivan revealed that Tyler's skyrocketing fame, especially after hits like "Total Eclipse of the Heart," put immense strain on their relationship. "Bonnie was always travelling, and I was at home holding the fort. Over time, we just became strangers," he said.

Despite the sadness, Sullivan emphasised there was no bitterness between them. "We still care deeply for each other, but sometimes love isn't enough to keep a marriage going." He also dismissed rumours of infidelity, calling them "utter nonsense."
