Bobby Norris Addresses Death Hoax After Fans Think He Died

Bobby Norris, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex, has addressed a bizarre situation where fans mistakenly believed he had died. The 39-year-old reality star took to social media on Tuesday to clarify the confusion after a wave of messages flooded in.

The Death Hoax

It all started when Norris noticed an announcement about the death of someone named Bobby Norris. As the news spread online, fans assumed it was him. In a video posted on Instagram, he said: "I've seen quite a few messages over the last couple of days but I think I've got to the bottom of it. Basically, there's been an influx of messages because there has been an announcement of my passing online."

Initially, Norris thought it was just internet trolls. "I just thought the internet was internetting and I wasn't sure if it was just the good old trolls under the bridge doing what they do," he explained. But as more messages came in, he realized something was amiss. "For a split second, I thought, 'Well, it can't be me because I'm eating an omelette. I'm still kicking.'"

Condolences to the Other Bobby Norris

After a "mad couple of days," Norris concluded that another person with the same name had passed away. He thanked fans for their concern and sent condolences to the family of the deceased. "I think it is obviously a different Bobby Norris who has sadly passed. It's not me. Thank you for all your well wishes," he said. "Condolences to the other Bobby Norris and his friends and family. It's been a mad couple of days in The Twilight Zone where I was sat with my omelette thinking, 'Is this me?' But it's not."

Fan Reactions

Fans were quick to react, expressing relief and sympathy. One wrote: "That's a frightening thing. Glad you're alive and kicking and enjoying your omelette." Another said: "A happy and sad moment. Condolences to the family of the deceased. Happy to see you in good spirits." A third commented: "This is sick. It's shocking how people are allowed to get away with posting such nonsense."

Recent Health Scare

This incident comes months after Norris revealed a serious health scare. Appearing on This Morning, he discussed a facelift and shared that doctors had warned he could be "dead in 12 hours" due to a potential condition. He said: "I'd had health problems last year. The doctor was quite honest. At one point, they said if it's something they think it is, you could be dead in 12 hours." Fortunately, the tests ruled out the worst, but the experience led him to reconsider his plans for cosmetic surgery. "I thought, 'Well, I'm waiting for my 40s for that but tomorrow isn't guaranteed,'" he added.
