Bobby Brazier's Emotional Tribute to Late Mum Jade Goody on Strictly

Bobby Brazier has revealed he hopes to pay tribute to his late mother, Jade Goody, during his time on Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders star, who walked the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards on Sunday, told The Mirror that he has a song in mind for the couples' choice dance that would be a perfect homage to his mother. 'If it happens, it happens, but I would love to do that,' he said, keeping further details under wraps.

Opening up about his Strictly experience, Bobby described it as 'a source of immense joy and deep distress, in the space of an hour, every hour.' He also shared that his father, Jeff Brazier, has been a pillar of support, cooking big lunches to help him through gruelling training sessions. 'He’s so proud,' Bobby said, joking that his dad has 'upped his rent' as a result.

Bobby's comments come after a week of controversy on Strictly, where viewers accused the judges of 'underscoring' his Movie Week Samba with Dianne Buswell. The couple scored 32 points, placing them fourth on the leaderboard, despite receiving no negative feedback. Fans took to social media to express their frustration, with one writing: 'Seriously undermarked and I never say that lightly, he was so good.'

The Pride of Britain Awards, hosted by Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo, celebrate real people doing amazing things. Bobby admitted the event would be emotional for him, saying: 'It’s going to be an emotional one, I feel like I might cry. So much stuff has happened in the Strictly training room, it’s all going to come up and I’m going to cry.'
