Blackpink's Rosé and Jisoo Stun at Hope Premiere in Seoul

Blackpink superstars Rosé and Jisoo sent fans into meltdown as they led the glamorous arrivals at the VIP screening of South Korean blockbuster Hope. The K-pop icons were among a host of A-list celebrities who turned out for director Na Hong-jin's hotly anticipated new sci-fi action thriller at the Megabox COEX cinema in Seoul's Gangnam district ahead of the film's release on Wednesday.

Rosé and Jisoo's Chic Looks

Rosé, 29, kept things effortlessly chic as she shyly hid behind her hands while greeting photographers before flashing a sweet smile for the cameras. Bandmate Jisoo, 31, looked every inch the fashion queen in a black mini skirt and matching top, posing up a storm as she waved to waiting fans and photographers before making adorable heart signs with her hands. She paired the look with a pair of sophisticated strappy black shoes and matching mini bag.

Other A-List Attendees

The BLACKPINK pair weren't the only huge names in attendance. Squid Game icon Lee Jung-jae also walked the red carpet. He joined stars including Zo In-sung and Jung Hae-in for the glitzy celebration of one of Korea's biggest film releases of the year. Although Rosé and Jisoo don't appear in the film, both are close to members of the cast, with Jisoo attending to support actress and model Jung Ho-yeon.

About the Film Hope

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Na Hong-jin, Hope marks his first feature in a decade following cult hit The Wailing. The ambitious action thriller follows residents of a remote village near the Korean Demilitarized Zone whose lives are thrown into chaos after mysterious extra-terrestrial beings arrive, forcing police officers and locals into a desperate fight for survival. The epic boasts an impressive international cast, with Hollywood stars Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander starring alongside Korean heavyweights Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung and Jung Ho-yeon.

Critical Reception and Future Plans

The film premiered in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival before arriving in Korean cinemas. Early reviews have been largely positive, with critics praising the ambitious thriller ahead of its official release. The film currently holds an 82% critic's rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, Rosé and Jisoo are expected to reunite with their BLACKPINK bandmates and release their third album sometime next year.
