Billie Faiers has expressed her devastation following the sudden death of her father-in-law, Dave Shepherd, aged 77. The former TOWIE star took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her husband Greg's father, describing him as a 'wonderful man' whose loss has left the family 'utterly heartbroken'.
In her post, which included photos and videos of Dave with her family, Billie wrote: 'Losing you so soon has left us all utterly heartbroken, it still doesn’t feel quite real... I have been so lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life, a man we all looked up to.' She added: 'You truly was the best father in law, dad and grandad we could ever wish for.'
Dave, who appeared regularly on the ITV show 'Billie and Greg - The Family Diaries', died earlier this month. Greg announced the news on social media, saying: 'I’m gutted and heartbroken to be writing this, but this time last week, my dad Dave passed away suddenly. He was 77, but still had so much more to give.'
Billie's post received over 42,000 likes and an outpouring of support from fans and family. Her sister Samantha commented: 'We will miss you Dave. Such a wonderful man,' while her mother Suzie added: 'We have lost an amazing man. He loved you all so much he will never be forgotten.'
Fans also shared their condolences, with one recalling a touching moment from the show: 'Was just watching the episode... where your dad was singing to Margot 'raindrops keep falling on my head' so sorry for your loss.'
