Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz attended Sir Elton John's Oscars viewing party on Sunday night, appearing defiant amid reports of a family rift. The event came hours after Brooklyn failed to acknowledge his mother, Victoria Beckham, on Mother's Day in the UK.
Brooklyn, 27, looked dapper in a fitted black suit with a white shirt, while Nicola wore a figure-hugging black gown. The couple posed together on the red carpet at the annual fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Sir Elton, a close family friend, was seen chatting with his godson Brooklyn and Nicola. The singer has reportedly been acting as a peacemaker in the Beckham family dispute, with a source describing him as 'utterly neutral'.
While Brooklyn did not post about his mother on Mother's Day, he did celebrate his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz's 71st birthday on Saturday, sharing snaps and writing: 'Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law.'
The couple's attendance at the event comes after reports of a legal letter sent by Brooklyn to his parents, instructing them not to contact him on social media. The family estrangement has been ongoing for several years.
