Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz are reportedly planning to open a dog shelter in Los Angeles, named the Peltz Beckham Foundation. The couple have filed paperwork in California to register the non-profit, according to The Sun.
The venture is not new for Nicola, who already founded Yogi's House, a California-based shelter that rescues dogs from euthanasia lists. Brooklyn, 26, has pursued various careers including photography, cooking and modelling.
The news comes amid reports of a family rift, as Brooklyn and Nicola missed David Beckham's 50th birthday party earlier this month. The couple were in London days before but flew back to the US on the day of the party, skipping the lavish dinner at Core restaurant.
Brooklyn also missed Victoria Beckham's 51st birthday last month, and neither David nor Victoria publicly acknowledged Brooklyn and Nicola's third wedding anniversary. Tensions are said to have increased after Brooklyn stopped speaking to his brother Romeo over Romeo's relationship with Kim Turnbull, who previously dated Brooklyn's friend Rocco Ritchie.
Brooklyn has not commented on the rumours. A representative for Brooklyn has been contacted for comment on the shelter plans.
