Brooklyn Beckham has publicly confirmed a rift with his parents, David and Victoria, in a lengthy Instagram statement. The 26-year-old accused his family of disrespecting his wife, Nicola Peltz, and attempting to control his life. He stated he does not wish to reconcile.
The feud centres on Brooklyn's relationship with Peltz, whom he married in April 2022. Brooklyn claimed his parents tried to 'ruin' their relationship, with family members telling him the night before his wedding that Peltz was 'not blood' and 'not family'. He also alleged pressure to sign away rights to the Beckham name.
Brooklyn's statement was prompted by a recent post from his brother Cruz, who denied claims that David and Victoria had unfollowed Brooklyn on Instagram. Brooklyn said his brothers were 'sent to attack' him and blocked him last summer. He accused his parents of using their team to go to the press, forcing him to speak out.
David and Victoria have not yet responded. David was pictured at the World Economic Forum in Davos, reportedly struggling to maintain composure. The feud has been marked by Brooklyn's absence from David's 50th birthday party, which he says was due to his father's refusal to include Peltz.
