Guitarist Neil Henderson has died aged 73. The musician, known for his work with the Bay City Rollers, passed away following a long-term illness.
His death was announced by his former bandmates in Middle of the Road, who confirmed that he had been ill for some time after suffering a stroke.
Bandmates' tribute
In a statement, Neil's ex-bandmates in Middle of the Road said: "We are sorry to have to announce the death of Neil Henderson, our original lead guitarist, songwriter and friend."
They added: "Neil had been ill for some time and was fighting to recover from a stroke a few years ago."
Family and legacy
The band sent their condolences to Neil's two daughters, Heather and Shona, and all his family and friends. They said: "His memory will live on with all who had the pleasure of sharing the stage with him as will his music."
