A tech CEO was caught in an embrace with a coworker on the Jumbotron at a Coldplay concert, sparking cheating allegations after the pair fled in embarrassment. The incident occurred during the band's show in Boston on Wednesday night.
Viral footage showed Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, and his company's Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, awkwardly jumping apart as they appeared on a 'kiss cam'. In the clip, shared on TikTok, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is heard saying, 'Oh, look at these two' as the camera focused on Byron with his arms around Cabot. He quickly let go, while Cabot covered her face and Byron crouched to hide.
Martin quipped, 'Oh, what...either they're having an affair or they're just very shy,' as the pair ran away. Byron became CEO of Astronomer, a New York-based data orchestration platform, in 2023, while Cabot joined the company nine months ago, according to LinkedIn. She reportedly removed her second surname, Thornby, from her social media.
The clip went viral online, with hundreds joking about the situation. One social media user wrote, 'lol if they'd have just stuck it out and smiled for the camera this would never have surfaced as virally as it did.' Another joked, 'Two rules, never try to hide from the Jumbotron and never run from cops or dogs.' Astronomer did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
