Anthony Hopkins Revives Hannibal Lecter for Kim Kardashian's Skims Endorsement

Anthony Hopkins has resurrected his iconic Hannibal Lecter character in a surprising endorsement of Kim Kardashian's Skims brand. The 87-year-old actor, who won an Oscar for his role in 'The Silence of the Lambs' in 1991, appeared in a video promoting the new Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap.

In the clip, Hopkins wears a colourful shirt and the face wrap, which covers his chin, neck and ears, reminiscent of the mask Lecter wore to prevent biting. Mimicking his character's mannerisms, he says: 'Hello Kim, I'm already feeling 10 years younger.' The caption reads: 'Thank you, Kim. Don't be afraid to come over for dinner.'

The video has gone viral on Instagram, amassing over 11 million views. It has drawn widespread praise, with Gwyneth Paltrow calling it 'genius', and 'Sherlock' actor Amanda Abbington describing Hopkins as 'a true and phenomenal legend'. Kim Kardashian herself shared the post on her Instagram stories, saying she was 'screaming'.

The Skims face wrap, unveiled earlier this week, uses 'collagen yarn' to shrink wrap the user's chin, jawline and cheeks. Skims, co-founded by Kardashian in 2019, plans to open its first standalone UK store on London's Regent Street in summer 2026.
