Ant and Dec's Live TV Blunder Leaves I'm A Celeb Viewers Baffled
Ant and Dec's on-air blunder baffles I'm A Celeb fans

ITV's flagship reality show, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, faced a cringe-worthy moment during its second episode, leaving its veteran presenters, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, visibly flustered. The incident occurred on 17th November 2025, shortly after the programme returned from a commercial break, throwing the usually seamless broadcast into disarray.

The On-Air Confusion

As the cameras cut back from the advertisements, the iconic hosting duo appeared startled. Instead of their typical confident greeting, Ant tentatively said, "Welcome back to Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here." He then immediately turned to the show's producers, asking, "I think? Are we back?" The pair seemed genuinely uncertain about whether they were broadcasting live to millions of viewers across the UK.

Dec quickly broke the tension with a laugh, confirming, "We're back," which Ant echoed with a relieved grin. Dec then quipped, "Well, as always, anything could happen," to which Ant added, "Exciting, what's going to happen next?" The source of the confusion was traced to a sudden and unexpected change in the show's signature title music, which failed to cue properly after the break, leaving the presenters without their usual auditory signal that they were live on air.

Fan Backlash Over New Titles and App Glitch

This technical hiccup was not the only issue to plague the new series. Fans had already taken to social media platform X to express their fury over the show's revamped opening titles, which debuted at the start of the series.

Viewers were swift and brutal in their criticism. One fan declared, "The new titles are sh***," while another demanded, "Old titles back, that was horrid." Another post highlighted the national sentiment, stating, "Turns out the entirety of the UK hates change and nearly had a meltdown over the new titles." Many viewers expressed nostalgia for the classic introductions, with one noting, "I miss the old titles, they felt more nostalgic," and another questioning, "Woah woah woah why have they changed the intro titles, where are the helicopters."

Further compounding the show's troubles was a recurring problem with the official voting app. During both the debut and the second episode, numerous viewers reported being unable to cast their votes, leading some to brand the show a "fix." One frustrated user moaned, "I'm a celebrity is a fix. Can't vote cos the app doesn't work," while another complained, "Would be nice if they sorted this app out, it didn't work for a lot of people."

Presenters Address the Issues

Ant and Dec directly acknowledged the voting app failure on air, apologising to viewers for the technical difficulties. They later entered the camp to inform contestant Aitch that the public had voted for him to undertake the next bushtucker trial, a result that relied on the votes that did manage to get through.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues to air nightly at 9pm on ITV1, but this rocky start has certainly given producers and the beloved presenting duo plenty to contend with as the series progresses.
