Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were left confused during the second episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! after a technical blunder caused them to miss their cue to return from an advert break. The presenting duo appeared shocked as they said, 'Welcome back to Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,' before Ant asked, 'I think? Are we back?' They looked to producers for confirmation, and Dec laughed, 'We're back.'
The confusion stemmed from a sudden change in the title music following the break, which left them unsure whether they were live on air. Dec joked, 'Well, as always, anything could happen,' and Ant added, 'Exciting, what’s going to happen next?' Dec replied, 'I dunno, it hasn’t happened yet.'
Fans had already expressed displeasure over the show's revamped opening titles. Social media was flooded with complaints, with one viewer posting, 'There are new opening titles. I repeat THERE ARE NEW OPENING TITLES.' Another said, 'The new titles are sh***,' while a third added, 'Old titles back, that was horrid.'
Additionally, viewers faced issues with the voting app during the debut episode, leading some to brand the show a fix. One fan wrote, 'I’m a celebrity is a fix. Can’t vote cos the app doesn’t work.' Ant and Dec apologised for the app problems at the start of the second episode.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! airs daily at 9pm on ITV1.
