Ant and Dec Step Back From TV for Podcast and Digital Channel

Ant and Dec have announced they will launch their first podcast series together, titled 'Hanging Out With Ant and Dec', starting next week. The podcast will feature the longtime friends catching up, reminiscing, and answering listener questions, with episodes released every fortnight from 22 January, plus a bonus episode each Monday.

The duo, known for hosting 'I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!' and 'Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway', are also launching a digital channel called Belta Box. The channel will feature new entertainment and curated clips, including highlights from their early careers, such as the Newcastle-based children's drama 'Byker Grove'.

Dec, 50, said: 'We asked our audience if we did a podcast what would they like it to be about and they said we just want you guys to hang out. So that’s what we’re doing. Ant and I don’t get to hang out as much as we used to, so it’s perfect for us.'

Ant, 50, added: 'We’ve spent our whole careers celebrating great entertainment, so launching Belta Box feels like the natural next step. Alongside our new podcast, we’re excited to create a space packed with fun, feelgood content that brings people together – no matter where they’re watching or listening.'

The pair, whose full names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, also host 'Britain’s Got Talent' and the gameshow 'Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win'. They first rose to fame as PJ and Duncan in 'Byker Grove' and later had a chart-topping hit with 'Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble' in 2013.
