I'm A Celebrity star Morgan Burtwistle, better known to his millions of followers as AngryGinge, has entered the Australian jungle as one of Britain's most eligible bachelors - despite what convincing AI-generated images might suggest.
The AI Girlfriend Phenomenon
The 23-year-old Twitch streamer, who boasts over five million followers across social media platforms, has become something of a Gen Z icon and is currently the bookmakers' favourite to win this year's ITV series. However, fans have been desperately trying to determine his relationship status since his arrival in camp.
Despite circulating images showing Morgan kissing a blonde woman goodbye at Heathrow Airport, these photographs have been revealed as artificially created by a female fan using AI technology. This isn't the first time the social media star has faced romance rumours stemming from fabricated pictures.
A source close to Morgan confirmed: 'Ginge is very much single at the moment, but you wouldn't know it from the amount of AI girlfriends popping up online. His only current commitments are to the jungle and The Bov Boys.'
Family Fooled by Convincing Fakes
The AI-generated images have proven so convincing that even Morgan's family members have done double-takes upon seeing the realistic-looking couple snaps. The source added: 'He's seen all the AI photos in the past, and he finds it hilarious. Some of the edits are so good, even his family have done a double take.'
In September, a particularly viral incident occurred when a blonde fan created an image depicting Morgan hugging her from behind and kissing her cheek. The streamer's reaction was captured on camera, with him expressing disbelief: 'There's no way that TikTok has popped off, there's no way. Has it actually?'
After discovering the post had garnered 200,000 views, Morgan placed his head in his hands before adding: 'I don't know what is worse. The fact that TikTok has popped off or the fact that someone has went out of their way to AI me as their boyfriend. I just want to reiterate, I have never, ever met this woman in my life.'
Open to Finding Love
Despite the fabricated romance rumours, Morgan does appear open to finding genuine connection. Just two weeks before flying to Australia, he participated in a YouTube video titled 'BOV BOYS FIND GINGE LOVE', where his friends quizzed twelve women to find his perfect match.
Four women progressed to the next round, with Morgan going on dates with each while his friends directed him through an earpiece. One date with a blonde woman named Molly went particularly well, culminating in a massage and exchanged cheek kisses.
His friends have since revealed that Morgan might be hoping to find romance in the jungle itself. Musician Tays shared: 'Ginge told me before he went on there, that he's going on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here to find a girlfriend. That is the reason he said he is going on I'm A Celebrity, he said that he is going there to find a girlfriend.'
Social media star Scousemali corroborated this, adding: 'He's going on there to find love, I mean I never got told this, Tays MCR got told this information then Scouse Somali got told second this information.'
Morgan's relationship history includes a previously confirmed girlfriend whose identity remained private, and unconfirmed links to fellow influencer Kaci Jay. Last year, he told Footaslyum in a TikTok: 'I'm off the market', though his current status is definitively single.
The young star has now left both social media and his AI girlfriends behind as he faces the jungle challenges alongside campmates including model Kelly Brook, comedian Ruby Wax, and Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp.
