Lou Teasdale's friends and family are reportedly concerned that she may take her relationship with footballer Andy Carroll to the next level, after the couple reunited for a second time. The hairstylist, 41, and the former Premier League star, 36, have had a rocky romance since they began dating last year, following Carroll's split from reality TV star Billi Mucklow.
The pair have broken up twice, with their first split reportedly due to Carroll growing tired of Teasdale's 'high maintenance behaviour'. They reconciled a week later after public rows. A subsequent 'make or break trip' to Ibiza led to another separation, but they are now firmly back together.
Sources close to Teasdale have expressed confusion over her repeated returns to Carroll. One source told the Daily Mail: 'There seems to be a cycle: He upsets her for something, then he apologises and does these grand gestures and she goes back. Sadly that is probably how it will continue to go now.' Another source added that Teasdale 'just won't leave him'.
Amid the drama, some friends predict a major step could be on the horizon. A source said: 'Lou would make a lovely bride. And she's so loved up with Andy that you wouldn't put it past her marrying him sometime soon.'
Carroll previously addressed the relationship in an interview with The Sun on Sunday, saying: 'I love Lou and I love her family. We row like any couple.' He also commented on his ongoing divorce from Billi Mucklow, noting that some arguments have been about alcohol, as Teasdale has been teetotal for 14 years.
The couple's splits have been attributed to various reasons, including Carroll's reported dislike of Teasdale's 'influencer lifestyle' and claims that Teasdale ended the relationship as the 'only way to move forward'. Despite the turmoil, Teasdale has not removed photos of Carroll from her Instagram, while Carroll has done so in the past.
