Andrew Cushin's Newcastle Homecoming Marks Record City Hall Show
Andrew Cushin's Record Newcastle Homecoming Show

Globetrotting Newcastle singer Andrew Cushin is set for a triumphant homecoming this December, marking what is being hailed as a record for a North East male solo artist. The local favourite will perform his fourth headline date at the 02 City Hall in Newcastle on December 10, following the release of his new single 'Goodbye'.

A Year of Global Success

Andrew Cushin has had a whirlwind year, with tours across the United States and Europe. He showcased the North East at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas, and received support from the Music Export Growth Scheme to fund another US tour. His second album, 'Love is Everyone', achieved his first top 40 entry.

Record-Breaking City Hall Return

In 2023, Andrew became the youngest Geordie artist to sell out the 02 City Hall, performing to around 4,500 fans over two nights. He also headlined the outdoor Mouth of the Tyne Festival. His upcoming December show is expected to set a record for the most headline performances at the venue by a North East male solo artist.

Andrew expressed his excitement about the new single: "I'm incredibly proud of 'Goodbye'. It's one of those songs that changed a lot from the original idea through to the finished version and I think that's what makes it exciting. It feels big, direct and honest - and I can't wait for people to hear it properly and experience it live."

Before his homecoming gig, Andrew has summer dates lined up, performing alongside Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and The Undertones at outdoor shows across the UK.

A Special Connection with Newcastle

Reflecting on his return, Andrew said: "Every time I come home and play Newcastle it means something completely different. City Hall has become a huge part of my journey and I don't take that for granted. Returning with another headline show after everything that's happened over the last few years will feel really special. Newcastle backed me early and I always feel that when I step out on stage there."

Tickets for the December 10 show are on sale now.
