Former Love Island champion Amber Davies has unleashed a blistering critique of the current season's contestants, branding some of their behaviour as "selfish" and lacking authenticity.
The 27-year-old reality star, who won the 2017 series, didn't mince words when sharing her thoughts about the latest crop of Islanders. "There's a real difference between playing the game and being genuine," Davies remarked.
Davies Calls Out Reality TV Fakeness
The West End performer expressed frustration at what she perceives as contestants prioritising screen time over real connections. "Some people go in there thinking only about their follower count," she said pointedly.
Davies, who transitioned successfully from reality TV to musical theatre, emphasised: "When I was in the villa, we weren't thinking about brand deals - we were actually looking for love."

"The audience can spot fakeness a mile off," Davies warned, suggesting this might explain some contestants' struggles to connect with viewers.
