Amanda Owen's Son Reveals 'Hard' Reality of Parents' Split

Reuben Owen, the second eldest son of Amanda and Clive Owen, has spoken about the 'hard' reality of his parents' separation after 22 years of marriage. The family rose to fame through the documentary series Our Yorkshire Farm, which chronicled their life on Ravenseat Farm.

Now 20, Reuben stars in his own spin-off series, Reuben: Life in the Dales, which follows his ambition to build a heavy plant machinery business with friends Tommy and Sarah. Reflecting on his mother's efforts, he said: 'I've realised how hard it must be for her to do it all. On the scale of what I do compared to what she does, she works very hard. I don't know how she has enough hours in the day to do it all.'

Reuben emphasised that his parents remain as present as ever, despite their separation. 'They are just as there as they always have been. Mum and Dad just keep us right. They always have and they still do, they're the same as they were,' he explained. He added that Amanda and Clive continue to work together on the farm daily, with his mother frequently helping him with machinery.

Last month, the family returned to television in Our Farm Next Door, which follows Amanda, Clive and their grown-up children as they renovate a derelict farmhouse in the Yorkshire Dales.
