Television and radio personality Amanda Holden has set social media alight once again, this time with a cheeky homage to one of cinema's most infamous scenes.
A Risqué Office Moment
The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge shared a playful video with her Instagram followers on Tuesday, 6th January 2026. Filmed from what appeared to be her office, Holden was seated wearing a striking burgundy leather mini skirt. With a knowing smile, she uncrossed her legs, deliberately flashing her black and white underwear to the camera.
"I didn't want to do a Basic Instinct there," she quipped, before adding with a laugh, "Although I am wearing pants because it's Tuesday!" The comment was a direct reference to the iconic 1992 thriller starring Sharon Stone.
Nod to a Cinematic Legend
In the original film, Sharon Stone's character, Catherine Tramell, is questioned by detectives. In a scene that became legendary, the actress, playing a seductive murder suspect, revealed she was not wearing underwear beneath her white dress. Holden's modern, light-hearted take on the moment quickly captured her audience's attention.
Moving on from the controversy, the Heart Radio presenter then discussed her outfit's origins with followers. She also humorously lamented not having "a deal with Nespresso" before standing up to return to work.
January Plans and Family Life
Holden revealed she was forgoing traditional New Year's resolutions in favour of a "try January," which involves sampling new experiences and attempting to cut down on alcohol. When a colleague inquired about her progress, she responded, "I'm two days in, I've got the shakes but I am on a tiny detox until at least Friday." She blew a kiss to the camera as she departed.
Beyond her bold social media presence, Holden is a mother of two. She shares daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 14, with her husband, 51-year-old talent manager Chris Hughes. The family recently settled into a stunning £7 million Surrey home in November 2024, which she has personally transformed from a minimalist space into a maximalist haven.
The renovation features a dedicated bar, bold leopard print wallpaper, and opulent art deco gold trims. Practicality remains key for the busy star, however. She has opted for wipe-clean wooden floors throughout the ground floor to accommodate her lively household, which includes two dogs and a cat.
"I am house proud, but I’ve got two kids, two dogs and a cat, so it’s a family house," she previously told The Mirror. Her love for entertaining is evident in her home's layout, having converted a dining room into a bar so guests can socialise with her while she cooks in the large, open-plan kitchen.
