Amanda Bynes has revealed a bold new tattoo on her left hand reading 'Trap Star', adding to her growing collection of ink. The 39-year-old former Nickelodeon star shared several photos on Instagram on Wednesday, showing the new design done at Atomic Tattoo & Body Piercing in Los Angeles.
Bynes did not explain the meaning behind 'Trap Star', but she has previously discussed the significance of other tattoos. Her Roman numeral X on her finger marks a ten-year friendship with her best friend Dylan, while a snake on her upper thigh symbolises transformation and shedding the past.
The actress also shared an update on her weight loss journey, revealing she has lost 28 lbs using Ozempic. In a December Instagram post, she wrote: 'I usually don't like paparazzi pictures [because] I was 180 lbs, but now I've lost 28 lbs on Ozempic. I'm down to 152 lbs.' She previously switched from the pill form to injections, which she said improved her results.
Bynes rose to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon and later appeared in films such as Hairspray and Easy A. After retiring from acting in 2010, she faced mental health and addiction struggles and was placed under a conservatorship in 2013, which ended in 2022 with her parents' full support.
Since then, Bynes has launched a podcast, worked on fashion projects, and teased upcoming music in December 2025.
