Amal Clooney Stuns in Fuchsia Gown at Lake Como Fundraiser

Amal Clooney turned heads in a bold fuchsia gown during a dinner with husband George Clooney and guests at Lake Como, Italy. The 47-year-old human rights lawyer broke from her usual neutral-toned style with a dress featuring a draped neckline, thigh split, and rosette appliqué, accessorised with a gold clutch, small pink bouquet, gold slingback heels, and black sunglasses.

The couple have been hosting a series of intimate dinners to raise funds for the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which provides free legal aid to wrongly imprisoned journalists and supports women's rights groups worldwide. Earlier in the week, Amal wore a sequinned one-shoulder Badgley Mischka dress and a white off-the-shoulder tiered fringe gown at other fundraising events.

George Clooney looked dapper in a grey suit and aviator glasses as the pair walked hand-in-hand. The couple own Villa Oleandra, an 18th-century mansion in Laglio, nine miles from Como, which features 25 rooms, tennis courts, a pool, and a home cinema. They enforce a strict phone basket rule to protect the privacy of their twins, Alexander and Ella, born in 2017.

Amal told Glamour: 'Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult. But that's also why we entertain a lot at home. I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone's phones away!' She added that parenthood has made her more troubled by intrusions, and the couple do their best to minimise any impact on their children, never publishing their photos.
