Alex Scott's Relationship Criteria for Jess Glynne Revealed

Football legend turned BBC presenter Alex Scott has entered the Australian jungle for the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, where she has begun sharing intimate details about her life away from chart-topping partner, singer Jess Glynne.

The Jungle Confessions

After landing in the jungle over the weekend, the former Lionesses star is quickly forming strong bonds with her campmates. The initial episodes have already seen emotional discussions, with celebrities like Jack Osbourne and Lisa Riley talking about the loss of their parents. Producers are reportedly hopeful that Scott will offer further insight into her personal life, particularly her high-profile relationship with Jess Glynne.

Scott, an Arsenal legend with 140 caps for England, is now a renowned pundit and one half of a new power couple. The pair made their relationship public last year, though rumours had been swirling for months prior after they were spotted together at various events, parties, and award ceremonies. They were later photographed sharing a kiss during a London walk, ultimately confirming their status as an item after attempts to keep things private.

Scott's Relationship Blueprint

Just months before hints of her romance with Glynne emerged, a single Scott was candid about what she sought in a partner. In a 2023 interview with Grazia, she expressed a clear desire to find love again, outlining two non-negotiable criteria for any potential partner.

"I am single, but I'm ready to mingle... I struggle with apps," she confessed at the time. "For me, it's all about connection, that instant connection with someone, and conversation, and then I'm like 'Oh, wow.'"

When the topic shifted to marriage and children, the now-41-year-old displayed a balanced perspective. "I would love that, but equally, if that's not the case then it's not the case. I'm going to be 40 in two years. I actually forget that," she stated.

Facing the Jungle Test

Before heading into the jungle, Scott spoke with the Daily Mail, acknowledging that this experience would mark the longest period apart from Glynne since they began dating. She admitted this separation would be a significant test for their relationship.

"It's going to be a test for both of us," Scott revealed, pinpointing exactly what she will miss most. "Her cooking pasta for me is absolutely everything. Those quiet moments when your life's a hundred miles per hour, just coming home and she loves to cook and we love to sit and have a glass of wine."

She added, wistfully, "I'll most probably be watching football in the background. But yeah, I'm definitely going to miss that, especially when I'm so hungry. And that's most probably all I'm going to be thinking about is 'please, can I just have Jessica's pasta right now?'"

Reflecting on their decision to initially keep their romance away from the public eye, Scott explained their reasoning: "From the start, we were very guarded and private because we wanted to get to know each other and figure out ourselves before it was out there for the world."

With their relationship now public and seemingly growing stronger, fans are left wondering if wedding bells might soon be ringing for the former football star and the I'll Be There singer.
