Alan Carr's 50th: Amanda Holden Kisses Him on the Lips

Alan Carr celebrated his 50th birthday with a lavish dinner party surrounded by close friends, including his co-star Amanda Holden, who planted a kiss on his lips.

The much-loved TV star turned 50 on Saturday and threw a lavish dinner party to mark the occasion. Taking to social media, the Britain's Got Talent judge sent Alan a sweet birthday message accompanied by a picture of them at his birthday bash the night before.

Alan cut a sophisticated appearance in an emerald green blazer teamed with a black bow tie and matching suit trousers. Meanwhile, Amanda looked every inch a star as she donned a beautiful off-the-shoulder floor-length gown. Leaning into one another, the party was clearly in full swing as they both appeared to be enjoying a glass of white wine.

In another picture posted to her stories, the TV personality who co-hosts Amanda and Alan's Italian Job is seen planting a kiss on his lips.

She captioned her post: "Wonderful to celebrate with you last night, happy birthday darling @chattyman." And she chose Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday song to play in the background.

This was followed by a post from Alan who thanked all those who had sent him birthday messages. He said: "50...how on earth did that happen?" He added: "Feeling very grateful today and just wanted to say thank you for all the lovely messages, the love and everyone who has supported me over the years. Here's to the next chapter.. thank you for all the birthday love. It means the world."

Former Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts wrote: "Happy big birthday." And legendary comedian Dawn French penned: "Happy birthday dreamboat."

Last month Alan was treated to a surprise birthday party ahead of his big day. More than 100 of his friends and family gathered together at London's Groucho Club in Soho. A video clip posted to Instagram shows Alan in utter shock as a curtain is pulled back to a sea of his "nearest and dearest." The first person he embraces is his mum, and then the camera turns to a few of his guests including TV presenter Angelica Bell.

His cake was made by close friend Sabastian Wild. At the time Sabastian wrote: "Last Friday night a few of us got together 100 of his nearest and dearest for an early surprise 50th birthday party for our dear BAFTA-winning friend Alan @chattyman Carr." He added: "Warhol inspired cake supplied by yours truly. What a fab night that was."
