Adam Peaty's Dad Says Family Feud Has 'Got Out of Hand' After Brother's Arrest

Adam Peaty's father, Mark, has spoken out about the family feud following the arrest of his eldest son James on suspicion of harassing the Olympic champion. James, 34, was detained by police on November 11, 2025, after Adam's fiancée Holly Ramsay reportedly alerted authorities to threatening messages sent during Adam's stag weekend in Budapest.

Mark told The Sun that the rift between his sons has escalated too far. 'They've always been close, but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make up, and start all over again,' he said, adding that there has been 'very little empathy' towards James.

The dispute dates back to 2021 when Adam's autobiography detailed James's struggles with addiction. Although they reconciled and James was asked to be a groomsman, they have not spoken since June 2025 after a building project dispute. The family reportedly feels sidelined as Adam prioritises his future in-laws, the Ramsays.

Adam's mother Caroline is said to be 'heartbroken' and may not attend the wedding, with only Adam's sister expected among his relatives. An insider claimed Holly does not consider Caroline 'glamorous enough' and that Adam has changed since their relationship. Adam's aunt Louise criticised the couple, saying Adam is not living by Christian values of honouring parents and forgiveness.
