Abbey Clancy: My Career Has Just Fallen into Place

Model Abbey Clancy is embracing a new career boost as co-host of ITV2's The Fashion Show, a role that requires her to set her alarm for 5:30am. The 22-year-old from Liverpool joins George Lamb and Michelle de Swarte to celebrate the UK's fashion credentials and expose fashion faux pas.

Clancy admits the new role is nerve-racking but rewarding. 'Rehearsals had been really fun but when we filmed the first show in front of a live audience that was really scary,' she says. The former Britain's Next Top Model contestant is now working full-time, often from 6am to 9pm.

Despite her success, Clancy remains humble, acknowledging that luck has played a part. 'I am very, very lucky that my career has just fallen into place,' she says. She credits Hell's Kitchen with chef Gordon Ramsay as a pivotal moment, helping her build a relationship with ITV and reach a wider audience.

On being a role model, Clancy says she doesn't overthink it. 'Whatever I'm doing I will do the best I can and if people don't like my best then that's their problem. I have to just be me.'

The Fashion Show will feature celebrity wardrobe peeks, A-list stylist makeovers, and tips for the season ahead. Clancy advises taking elements from fashion but knowing what suits you. 'I think everyone should have a great pair of jeans that you can put with a dressy top or a casual one and feel just as good.'
