Aaron McCusker, who plays Ben Driscoll on Coronation Street, has become a fan favourite since joining the ITV soap last year. But away from the cobbles, the actor leads a quieter life with his family.
McCusker has been married to theatre producer Jennie Sutton since 2009. The couple met when McCusker was performing in a play in Manchester, where Sutton worked in theatre. They have three children: Sam, 16, Corey, 13, and Rosie.
McCusker has praised his wife for her support, particularly when he was filming in New Orleans while she looked after their young children. He told the Parental Mayhem podcast: 'Three kids, a dog, on your own, it’s unbelievable!'
The actor has hinted that his youngest daughter, Rosie, may follow in his footsteps. He told the Mirror: 'She often helps me with my lines. She picks it up well actually. If any of my kids become an actor it will be her.'
However, McCusker has banned his 16-year-old son from watching his earlier role in the racy Channel 4 drama Shameless, saying: 'All I ever got in Shameless was sex scenes and all he’d see is dad’s arse on screen!'
