UK's Best Takeaways 2026 Shortlist Revealed

The Nation's Takeaway Awards 2026 has unveiled its shortlist, celebrating the best takeaways across the UK, from fish and chips to curry houses and pizza shops. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Wolverhampton on August 24.

First-Year Event Hosted by Oceanic Awards

This is the first year of the event, organized by Oceanic Awards, which has run the Scottish Takeaway Awards for the past five years. The awards aim to "recognise and reward the businesses and individuals who continue to raise the bar for quality, innovation and customer service."

Finalists were selected through public nominations and industry recognition, with Oceanic Awards drawing on its collective industry knowledge to "recognise outstanding businesses and individuals who consistently demonstrate excellence in their field."

Category Highlights

The shortlist includes categories such as Fish N’ Chips Takeaway of the Year, with finalists like Duston Village Chippy (Northampton) and Wright’s Fish & Chips (Manchester). Pizza Takeaway of the Year features Funky Olive Pizzeria (London) and Siciliano Pizzeria (Wakefield), while Curry Takeaway of the Year includes Charcoal Cuisine (Blackburn) and House of Biryani (Sheffield).

Other categories include Burger Takeaway of the Year, Chicken Takeaway of the Year, Kebab Takeaway of the Year, and more, with finalists from towns and cities across the UK.
