Scarlett Moffatt has issued a plea after she was told she looked 'humongous' by a stranger as she prepares for the birth of her second child.
The former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner and her partner, Scott Dobinson, announced they were expecting baby number two back in April, three years after the arrival of their first child together.
Making the announcement, the couple were joined by their son, Jude, who held a personalised newspaper with a headline saying: "Baby Dobinson another miracle coming soon!"
Family Announcement
Alongside the post, the couple said: "We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing. One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he’s going to be a big brother."
They added: "And if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that he is going to be the most amazing big brother. We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock… Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible."
Pregnancy Comments
Since the special announcement, Scarlett has kept her fans updated on her pregnancy, which she has said has been much more difficult than her first. But it was this week that the mum-of-two-to-be took to social media in shock, as she shared how several women had approached her to comment on the size of her bump and how 'huge' she looked.
Speaking in a video posted to her Instagram Story, Scarlett said: "It's happened again! For the fourth time in two days, I’ve had women come up to me and tell me I look huge. I’m not even joking."
Plea to Stop Body Comments
Scarlett went on to show off her blossoming baby bump, adding: "Like, people are actually just coming up to us. I was at my nanny’s party and a woman came up to me and, this is where it started and then it’s carried on, she didn’t even say hello, she went, 'Oh my goodness, you look humongous!'"
She went on to share her disbelief: "What am I meant to say to that? I know they’re not saying it to be mean, but let’s not, let’s just not, let’s just not. Let’s just not comment on anyone’s bodies, whether they’re pregnant or not."
She explained: "Because I don’t know how to respond to someone telling me that I look huge, 'cause I’ve still got a little while left of my pregnancy as well. It’s not like. I’m like literally about to drop."
Scarlett then posted a picture of herself she had taken in the mirror, showing her blossoming baby bump, as she told her followers: "I'll show you a picture of my bump because I think I look like a skinny queen," before laughing and captioning the snap with the song, 'Big and Chunky', from the Madagascar 2 soundtrack.
